It Just Keeps Snowing!

So I pulled into our snowy driveway tonight after a long commute home in the snow only to find this gift from my very own sweetie. Thank you! I still need to update the blog with some pictures from the last month. I keep coming up with ideas and taking pictures, but with this snow my work seems to override... Boo to the snow.

Something and Nothing

We just got home from a long trip down to the nearest Ikea to pick some stuff up for the office. After we had shopped our way through the second and third floors, we found all the things we needed, plus some extra things that were cool (and per Jd - were not cheap as one would expect from Ikea). We went to the first floor to pick up the bigger items and found that the one main thing that we went there for was not even in stock. So in the end we left with something and nothing. (I think Jd wants me to re-word some of this, but I want to go to sleep. "It's just a blog," I tell him. But he says that it was the most critical item - not just something.) So in the end, we left with everything except the one thing we needed. :( But we picked up sushi afterwards to satisfy his taste buds, so he was happy. :)

4 Stars for "The Secret Life of Bees"

On Tuesday night we took advantage of some movie coupons we had and went to see a movie, "The Secret Life of Bees." We weren't really sure what we were in for. Apparently I'm definitely not a reader as I discovered that my coworkers loved the book that the movie is based from. But anyway, we originally went to see it because Dakota Fanning was playing a main role and we really like the movies she's been in that we've seen. The film has such a great and moving storyline that brought both of us to tears through much of it - not unusual for me, but was for Jeremy. Anyway, we both very highly recommend this movie. 4 stars in my book....blog.

Wrap-rage sucks; at least someone's working on it

It looks like someone's finally someone doing something about wrap-rage

Wrap rage is "the common name for heightened levels of anger, frustration and violence resulting from the inability to open hard-to-remove packaging"

You might actually like the difficult-to-open clamshell packaging if you're a collector, but I'm not a collector and I pretty much hate it. I also refuse to believe that I'm in anyway "paying" for the additional frustration of getting access to my new toys.

Great Photo Blog

One of my good friends that lives in Oregon now had shared this website of a photographer that they met in Oregon. I think she lives in New York now. I absolutely love looking through her blog every now and then. She takes really great pictures of her girls as they go on walks and other things they see. If you like this kind of thing, you should check out her blog.

Trunk or Treat!

I am finally getting around to posting pictures of our costumes from our ward's Trunk or Treat 2008. It was last Saturday after a marathon of sewing to get 4 costumes made (though out of fairness, Kelly did all of hers - she just asked for advice and direction a few times). I wasn't quite sure how the two wizzard costumes would turn out, since I gave them to the girls' mom to put in the zipper, hem them, and let the girls do the embellishments. But I was so happy to see them wearing their costumes that turned out so cute! I'm also posting a picture of what was in our trunk with the candy. Next year we will have bigger and better plans for our trunk display, but this worked.
